I saw last night that actor John Saxon passed away at the age of 83. Like most folks my age, my first memory of him was as Nancy's dad in "A Nightmare on Elm Street," with a whole slew of roles to follow. As my B-movie viewing expanded, i'd catch him in all manner of films, with his mere presence elevating what might otherwise be garbage. And now i'll watch anything with him in it. He'll be missed. RIP John Saxon.
