Whatitdo Archive Group
I'm a little bummed i'm not going to get to take the boys to see fireworks tonight because of the rain, so for the time being i'm just going to mellow out to the exotic library sounds of Whatitdo Archive Group. Listen to new tune "Exotique" below and get it here from Record Kicks.

Whatitdo Archive Group
Reno, Nevada based band Whatitdo Archive Group, purveyors of jazz, funk, soul, and library sounds, dropped a new Christmas-themed 7" at the end of November to push us all straight into the heart of the holiday season. "Wild Man" takes inspiration from world folklore, like the yeti or the abominable snowman or Krampus, and makes a loungey, funky groove of it. Check the track out below and download it here from Record Kicks (the vinyl is sold out).

The Black Stone Affair
So the story goes that Italian filmmaker Stefano Paradisi made an epic and ambitious movie, a western-noir called "The Black Stone Affair," but that the film was lost, reportedly due to a fire, all of the footage and music gone. But apparently, the soundtrack by obscure outfit Whatitdo Archive Group was recovered and restored and is now available for us to listen to in all its Morricone-esque glory. Whether or not this is all just some fun bullshit and mythmaking doesn't really matter because the music is top notch. Check out "La Pietra" below and get the LP here from Record Kicks.
