Ben Vince
London-based experimental musician and saxophonist Ben Vince dropped new album "Street Druid" last week, a mix of otherworldly, sometimes airy, sometimes noirish tracks of tape loops, electronics, and sax. Check out the spacey "Peace Spell" below and grab the LP here from AD 93.

Chat Pile
For their 2024 album "Cool World," Oklahoma City's noisy post-hardcore band Chat Pile created a bunch of tape loops that were used in the recording. These loops were sourced from random cassettes found in OKC thrift stores that featured weird sounds from hypnosis tapes, muzak, hotel conference background music, and local band demos. Strange and surreal stuff. Anyway, the band just launched a tape label called Dungeon Earth, and the first releases are two volumes of the aforementioned tape loops called "Blood at Night." Dig on the otherworldly fuzz of "North Park Mall" below and get both volumes here.
