Australian musician David West is a busy man, churning out releases with bands like Rat Columns and Rank/Xerox, and on his latest, the upcoming "Cherry on Willow" LP with Teardrops, he combs through spacey beats, drugged up and warped melodies, and dubby, chilled vocals. Or at least, that's what first single "Swan's Beat" would suggest. It's a hazy, dazed little number that feels like post punk pureed in a blender with heaps of molasses.
