Eartheater

New York experimental electronic artist Eartheater makes some of the most interesting and perplexing music, and her latest album, "Phoenix: Flames Are Dew Upon My Skin."  Check out the kind of folk-tinged, but ultimately uncategorizable "How to Fight" below and grab the album here from PAN.

I posted about New York duo LEYA's upcoming new album a few days ago, but it seems they've been even busier than that, recording a new EP with experimental artist Eartheater.  The "Angel Lust" EP plays like a blend of creepy folk tunes and modern, avant garde classical music.  Haunting and ethereal and hypnotic stuff.  Listen to "Angel Path" below and get it here from PAN.

When i first came across the name Eartheater, i instantly assumed it would be a heavy, doom-laden metal act.  Boy was i wrong.  Instead, the Brooklyn based project from Alexandra Drewchin is warped pop, sometimes sounding like what Druids would create if given electronic instruments to play with.  Listen to "Wetware" from the upcoming "R.I.P.
