Ghost

In August, we will be graced with a new record from Swedish metal band Ghost (or Ghost B.C. is some circles).  As far as i'm concerned, that's fantastic news, as we need more Satan-hailing, triumphant guitar licks in our world.  Listen to first single "Cirice" below and get the "Meliora" LP from Spinefarm Records.

The band of Satan's minions that is Ghost B.C. just released an EP of covers produced by Dave Grohl.  That's pretty much all you need to know.  Check out the Nosferatu-inspired cover art above and listen to the band's take on Roky Erickson's "If You Have Ghosts" below.  Then get the album from Loma Vista.

I'm a little late with this, and i don't know why it's taken me so long to get to writing about Sweden metal act Ghost B.C., but here we are.  The anonymous, painted and robed members of the band use elements of old school metal, prog, and just the right amount of church organ to hail and praise Satan in the most entertaining and awesome way possible (i must give mad props to the always awesome and entertaining Shawn C.
