See you guys on the other side.  This is the energy i'm going to try to head into 2023 with.  Listen to Louis Armstrong and "What a Wonderful World" below, our Daily Jam.  Happy new year.

Here's a track from Louis Armstrong for your Halloween jazz playlists.  Listen to "Spooks!" below, our Daily Jam.

Daily Jam - They Say I Look Like God

In the '50s and '60s, jazz maestro Dave Brubeck put together a musical project called The Real Ambassadors with the legendary Louis Armstrong and his band among others.  One of the tracks produced by the project was the powerful and spiritual "They Say I Look Like God," a kind of chant and chamber music piece with nods to gospel and Armstrong's unmistakable voice at the forefront.  It's really something.  Listen to it below, our Daily Jam.

Daily Jam - We Have All the Time in the World

One of the first albums i ever bought for myself was a cassette compilation of James Bond themes that led to a childhood obsession with both the films and the songs.  I was probably 6 or 7.  Anyway, my love for all things Bond still runs deep, and i have a long affinity for Louis Armstrong's theme from "On Her Majesty's Secret Service."  Listen to "We Have All the Time in the World" below, our Daily Jam.

Sonic Advent Calendar: Day 23 - Winter Wonderland

It might just be the NOLA blood running through my veins, but i will always carry the softest of soft spots for Louis Armstrong.  I remember hearing his music as far back as i can even remember, Satchmo tunes ringing in my ears forever more.  That voice.  That trumpet.  That presence.  Listen to his version of "Winter Wonderland" below.
