It's an ugly state of affairs.  And deep in my heart i don't believe anything will get better until everything falls apart.  But i'm also a straight white man, so things are never quite as dire for me as they are for others.  I'm not going to vote shame anybody.  Everyone should vote their conscience.  But i will forever be pissed off that in this moment of time, my best option was a right of center, status quo candidate over an authoritarian, fascistic death cult.  Here's Manic Street Preachers with "If You Tolerate This Your Children Will Be Next," our Daily Jam.

Considering we currently have one political party here that's advocating for killing old people to boost the stock market and another that's either in hiding or pitching ideas that maybe help just 15% of the people who need it, it seems like a good day to throw up middle fingers at all of them.  So here's Manic Street Preachers' "Ifwhiteamericatoldthetruthforonedayitsworldwouldfallapart," our Daily Jam.

Daily Jam - The Everlasting

Probably more generally known for their more overt political music or their former guitarist's struggles and subsequent disappearance, UK band Manic Street Preachers' 1998 album "This Is My Truth Tell Me Yours" comes off as much more of a pop record than any of their previous work.  That's not to say that there isn't a political sting or emotional heft to any of the songs, just that they're a little more sleek and polished up for the masses.  And it hooked me from the second i heard it.  Album opener "The Everlasting" is a melancholy lament about the state of all things, and sadly nothing has changed in the last 20 years.  Check it out below, our Daily Jam.
