Evidently, trip-hop is still alive and well, and from the chilled and smoky vibes of Moderator's new "Sinner's Syndrome" LP, it's still quite awesome too. Layering old spy movie riffs, roadhouse grooves, and desert sun glare along stoned hip-hop beats, the record feels like one of those future timeless LPs that could have come out anytime over the last 3 decades.
