Daily Jam (October Edition) - Theme from Blood for Dracula

Paul Morrissey's Dracula and Frankenstein films that he made for Andy Warhol are both trippy movies, full of gore, humor, and sexuality.  There's also an added element of melancholy that's accentuated by composer Claudio Gizzi's beautiful scores.  Both films and soundtracks are worth your time, but today we're quietly swaying with "Theme from Blood for Dracula."  Listen below, our Daily Jam.

Daily Jam - Flesh for Frankenstein Main Theme

Paul Morrissey's "Flesh for Frankenstein," also known as "Andy Warhol's Frankenstein" is an odd little film, full of sex and gore and comedy, but also a kind of heartbreaking score from Claudio Gizzi.  The film is great, but i think the soundtrack is absolutely wonderful, a baroque pop masterpiece.  Listen to the "Main Theme" below, our Daily Jam.

Flesh for Frankenstein

Claudio Gizzi's scores for Andy Warhol and Paul Morrissey's "Flesh for Frankenstein" and "Blood for Dracula" are getting the reissue treatment from Dagored Records.  That is fantastic news.  I love these films.  I love these soundtracks.  And who doesn't love Udo Kier?  Now if only we could Criterion to reissue the movies on Blu.  Listen to "Frankenstein's Theme" below.
