Daily Jam - When the Lights Go Out All Over Europe
The Divine Comedy's 1994 album "Promenade" remains one of my unlikeliest favorite albums over three decades later, it's brand of dramatic baroque pop setting far apart from virtually everything else i listen to...especially back in the '90s. Here's a lovely track from it for your Thursday. Listen to "When the Lights Go Out All Over Europe" below, our Daily Jam.

Daily Jam - Lost Property
Years and years ago, i was in Scotland, hanging out with a bunch of college kids in Aberdeen. One of the guys took me to a record store and while we were there, we saw a new album from The Divine Comedy. I was stoked, and he asked me if the band was popular in America. I thought the prospect of that was hilarious, but the question was asked in earnest, so i just responded, "no no no no no." Here's a cut from that record. Listen to "Lost Property" below, our Daily Jam.

Daily Jam - The Booklovers
You might not think that a very British chamber pop song where the singer lists off a bunch of literary authors along with accompanying sound bites would be one of my favorite songs, and yet here we are. Listen to "The Booklovers" by The Divine Comedy below, our Daily Jam.
