Daily Jam - Coldest Night of the Year

English folk singer/songwriter Vashti Bunyan released a couple of singles in the '60s and then a full-length LP in 1970, and then left the music business for over 30 years before returning with new music in the mid '00s.  Around that same time, a collection of her singles and demos from the '60s was compiled, and it's one of my favorite things.  Check out a track from said collection, "Coldest Night of the Year," below, our Daily Jam.

Daily Jam - Prospect Hummer

Last weekend, i masked up and drove into town to hit up the shops for Record Store Day.  Things were very organized and the chaos that usually surrounds the event was abated.  It was different to be sure, but wonderful to get out and do that kind of thing again.  One of the records i picked up was the 2005 "Prospect Hummer" EP from Animal Collective and Vashti Bunyan.  Here's the title track below, our Daily Jam.

Vashti Bunyan

Here's a new one from the upcoming new album from folk chanteuse Vashti Bunyan.  "Across the Water" is the first single from "Heartleap" which Bunyan herself has said will be her last record.  That's a bummer...but the song is beautiful.  Listen below and look for the album in October from DiCristina.
