I've been looking forward to the debut LP from New York post punk band WALL ever since i saw them perform way back during SXSW last year. And i don't have too much longer to wait, with "Untitled" scheduled for release at the end of this month on Wharf Cat. Unfortunately, it appears that the band has called it quits, and thus the debut will also be the swan song. Bummer. Listen to the excellent "Save Me" below.
I caught New York punk band Wall last year at SXSW, and was thoroughly impressed with the band's hostile brand of post punk noise. Looks like we're finally getting an as yet to be titled full-length LP from the group in April on Wharf Cat. Listen to album opener "High Ratings" below.
Later this week, i'll post a bunch of pics of my SXSW antics this year...they are getting increasingly tamer as i get older. Boo. Anyway, today i caught some great punk acts, one of them being the New York four piece Wall, an abrasive, but grooving band trading in a mix of No Wave and post punk.
