The Bleak Engineers

It's looking like a rainy, foggy day here in Austin, so some cold and moody darkwave from Russian duo The Bleak Engineers should serve me just right.  Icy synths, a driving beat, and the monotone vocal delivery of Zombierella of Messer Chups.  Check out "Unconscious" below and order the album of same name here from Mosaique Records.

Zombierella's Tentative Reels

Zombierella, the bassist from experimental St. Petersburg band Messer Chups, has struck out on her own with her new project Zombierella's Tentative Reels.  Later this month, the artist will release her "Suicide Commando" 7" featuring two tracks of cold wave, post-punk glory.  The title track is a cover of early '80s German band No More.  Listen below and order the record here from French label Six Tonnes de Chair.  It's awesome.  And now i also have to explore the back catalog of Messer Chups.  2019 off to a good start.
