Hal Ashby was a brilliant filmmaker from the 60's and 70's, a huge part of the cinematic counterculture of the time. Filmmaker Amy Scott has a documentary about the director coming out soon called "Once I Was: The Hal Ashby Story," and one Father John Misty appears on the soundtrack covering Cat Stevens' "Trouble," which was originally used in the 1971 film "Harold and Maude."
