I've mentioned the 90's alt-rock revival that seems to be permeating the sound of a ton of up and coming and underground bands of late, but evidently, the New York No Wave sound is alive and well too...and that kicks ass. Providence, Rhode Island's Downtown Boys are a raucous and noisy assault on the senses, a blasting mix of punk snarling, post-punk reverb, and wailing saxophone...and i love me some fucking saxophone.
