Desert psychedelia that sounds like the droning tones of some kind of ritualistic vision quest, Italian band Heart of Snake makes smoky, hazy, encroaching music, fire-lit, sun-drenched vistas as far as the eye can see but the thick and heavy air closing in, flames lapping at your face, spirits rising high. The madmen over at Maple Death Records, continuing their propensity for releasing mind melting, chest thumping, and all around fantastic tapes and records, released the artist's self-titled, 2-track album earlier this summer, the perfect companion for wandering the earth and going blind in the desert, a kind of spaghetti western-horror hybrid.
