Hanging out over at Ipecac Records this morning and saw that we've got a new album from tētēma, the Mike Patton and Anthony Pateras collaboration, heading our way in April.  Watch the video for kind of chaotic "Haunted on the Uptake" and pre-order the "Necroscape" LP here.

The Zombi Anthology

Inexcusable!  Somehow i missed that Relapse Records just reissued Zombi's first material from 10 years ago.  "The Zombi Anthology" had previously only been available on a limited CD that the duo put out themselves, but now finds itself on vinyl for the first time.  I have been a huge fan of Steve Moore and Anthony Patera and their numerous side projects ever since 2009 when i heard "Spirit Animal" for the first time.  Much thanks to Shawn Baker for cluing me on to this.  Listen to the horror movie inspired "Sequence 1" below and grab the record here or here.

Tetema

So i've been so caught up in the triumphant return of Faith No More, that i forgot how prolific Mike Patton can be, and thus was completely unaware of his new project with Australian composer Anthony Pateras called Tetema.  The "Geocidal" LP was recorded across three different countries, three different continents, and then assembled afterwards.  That kind of scattered, piecemeal approach gives the music a bizarre and otherworldly feel...and it's fucking fantastic.  Listen to "Tenz" below and look for the album next month on Ipecac.
