Celestial Shore

Somewhat lo-fi, somewhat space rock, somewhat shoegaze, the music of Celestial Shore sounds like floating through the air in some homemade levitation apparatus.  Add some Kim Deal-sounding backing vocal harmonies into the mix, and i'm sold.  "10X" is out next month on Hometapes/Local Singles, but you can listen to "Swimmer's Sinking Feeling," featuring guest vocals from Empress Of's Lorely Rodriguez below.

SXSW day 4 pics

Alright SXSW, it's been real, but the demands of a healthy (ish) digestive system require me to take my leave.  I'll let the good folks over at Brooklyn Vegan play us off (that is unless i get the energy to go back out again tonight to catch The Coathangers or Death Grips).  Until we meet again.

In April, Empress Of (Brooklyn artist Lorely Rodriguez) will release the follow up to her excellent 2012 7" from No Recordings.  "Hat Trick" is taken from the upcoming "Systems" EP, and it's a continuation of the soft, synthesized fairy tales the singer began last year.  Get it from Terrible Records.
