The Murlocs

Australia keeps on pumping out the psych and garage rock bands with gleeful abandon.  And they're just all so damn good.  The latest from The Murlocs drops this summer, and you should definitely check out the bouncy, clapping, and catchy as hell first single "Francesca."  Watch the video below, dig on that harmonica, and then pre-order the upcoming "Bittersweet Demons" LP here from ATO.

The Murlocs - Comfort Zone

Ambrose Kenny of King Gizzard fame, fronts an excellent side project as well, The Murlocs.  The band just released a new single and video for the Elton John-tinged "Comfort Zone," a wonderful little psych pop ditty.  Check out the video filled with revenge below, and be on the lookout for a release on Flightless.

The Murlocs

It's storming outside, and i don't feel great, and electronic devices never work the way intended, and my dog is afraid, and i've got to go pick up my son from school in an hour.  Anyway, here's a new jam from Australian garage psych rock band The Murlocs (an offshoot of King Gizzard), and a wonderfully claymated video.  Watch "Snake in the Grass" below and get "Old Locomotive" from Flightless.

The Murlocs

There's something awesome bubbling up down in Australia, a wave of garage and psych rock bands essentially taking the torch from the bay area and running with it.  The Murlocs are just one of the latest, and their "Young Blindness" LP is a jangly, chugging wonder.  Listen to album opener "Happy Face" below and get the digital album here.
