Were you a teenager in Texas in the mid '90s? Chances are you or your friend had a copy of the Toadies' "Rubberneck." The DFW band was a seminal part of my adolescence, their kinda creepy odes to obsession and death delivered with that evangelical twang setting them apart from the rest of that decade's alt-rock acts.
