Australian band Total Control have a new EP out, "Laughing at the System," on Alter Records, and it's a complex and tangled tapestry of influences and sounds. At its heart, it's a punk record, but pulls from industrial, synth pop, post punk, experimental noise, and warbled, fractured pop, and it's all kind of intoxicating to listen to.
