The lovely and talented Julia Holter was responsible for one of my favorite albums last year, and she's looking to try and keep the streak alive with her latest offering of off-kilter, left-of-center, avant garde pop music. Holter's really hard to pin down as an artist, throwing elements of classical music, chamber pop, experimental synth tones, drone, and even show-tunes into her increasingly impressive tome of musical art. New album "Loud City Song" is out next week via Domino, but listen the listless and gorgeous "Maxim's I" below.
