There are these old and noisy sounds that i adore that will occasionally creep into the work of a new artist. Elements of long, lost grunge and noise experiments twisted into something reminiscent of a distorted dirge, or as the band's Bandcamp page says, "melodic psychedelic dread." Detroit band Paint Thinner, a project assembled from a slew of other former groups who call the Motor City home, hit that dark, crusty, noisy, yet still heavenly sound. Listen to "A Day in My Head" below and get their "The Sea of Pulp" LP here from the band.
