Dilly Dally

One of the band's i caught a week ago during SXSW that i had no foreknowledge of was the Canadian band Dilly Dally...and they rocked my damn face off.  Combing through a slew of riot grrrl influences and snot-nosed sneer, these alt-rock punk girls and guys are about as loud as they come, ready to shred ears and bash in brains.  Listen to "Desire" below and get the "Sore" LP from Buzz Records.

Beta Frontiers

I first heard Toronto's Beta Frontiers a couple of years ago, but then they kind of fell off my radar.  Well, it looks like they're back, and this time with Carmen Elle from Diana on vocals.  "So Cold" is pure, electronic pop bliss.  Listen below and get it from Buzz Records.

Toronto punk trio Odonis Odonis just released a new digital single called "Are We Friends" that takes a real, pounding, industrial approach that makes me all kinds of happy.  This is slurred, noisy disco-punk at its very best.  The single is out on Buzz Records.  No word on an album yet.  Listen below.
