Daily Jam - Ataraxia

Here's a track from the short-lived Chino Moreno Deftones side project Team Sleep.  The band's self-titled, 2005 debut got the Record Store Day reissue treatment earlier this year, which basically jarred my memory of its existence.  Thanks for that Record Store Day.  Listen to "Ataraxia" below, our Daily Jam.

Chelsea Wolfe

Dark folk chanteuse Chelsea Wolfe just announced a remix EP with "Undone," featuring a handful of artists mixing tracks from this year's excellent "She Reaches Out To She Reaches Out To She" LP.  We've already heard Boy Harsher take on "House of Self-Undoing," and today we get to listen to Deftones main man Chino Moreno's side project ††† (Crosses) reinterpret "Tunnel Lights."  Check it out below and get the EP here from Loma Vista Recordings at the end of the month.

Deftones member Chino Moreno has popped up sporadically over the years with his synth pop side project ††† (Crosses), and while he has promised new music in 2022, the group is capping this year with a pretty faithful cover of the Q Lazzarus classic "Goodbye Horses."  Check it out below.

Saudade

Saudade is a supergroup of sorts featuring a rotating cast of artists and musicians from Deftones, Bad Brains, Dillinger Escape Plan, Cro-Mags, Team Sleep, and Medeski, Martin, & Wood.  New song "Shadows & Light" features a duet between The Deftones' Chino Moreno and goth chanteuse Chelsea Wolfe.  It's moody and ethereal and heavy.  Here's hoping we get some more music from these guys and girls soon.  Listen below.
