Turns out that those new tracks from Chelsea Wolfe released a couple weeks back were indeed a harbinger of things to come, as the artist has announced new album "The Dark" for next month.  Listen to the Americana-tinged folk track "Cold" below and pre-order the LP here from Loma Vista Recordings.

Chelsea Wolfe

Dark folk chanteuse Chelsea Wolfe just announced a remix EP with "Undone," featuring a handful of artists mixing tracks from this year's excellent "She Reaches Out To She Reaches Out To She" LP.  We've already heard Boy Harsher take on "House of Self-Undoing," and today we get to listen to Deftones main man Chino Moreno's side project ††† (Crosses) reinterpret "Tunnel Lights."  Check it out below and get the EP here from Loma Vista Recordings at the end of the month.

Chelsea Wolfe Remixed by Boy Harsher

Darkwave duo Boy Harsher remixed a track from dark folk artist Chelsea Wolfe's excellent "She Reaches Out To She Reaches Out To She" album from earlier this year to wonderful effect.  It's like a whole new song.  Check out the mix of "House of Self-Undoing" below and download it here from Loma Vista.

Chelsea Wolfe

I probably should have realized with the release of "Dusk" last month, that we were getting a new album from dark chanteuse Chelsea Wolfe.  And so we are with the upcoming February release of "She Reaches Out To She Reaches Out To She."  Check out the album opening "Whispers in the Echo Chamber," which has some of the same trip-hop vibes going for it that "Dusk" did, below and pre-order the LP here from Loma Vista.

Chelsea Wolfe

This week has sucked, but at least we've got a new track from Chelsea Wolfe, and one with some quasi-trip-hop vibes to boot.  Check out "Dusk" below and download it here from Loma Vista Recordings.

Chelsea Wolfe - Oui Oui Marie

I was already excited about "X," the upcoming new film from Ti West, but now that i know that Chelsea Wolfe was involved with the score and recorded a haunting cover of Arthur Fields's "Oui Oui Marie" for the soundtrack, i'm practically ecstatic.  Check out the excellent track below.

Daily Jam (Covers Week) - If You Have Ghosts

It kind of flew in under the radar last year, but we got a pretty excellent tribute album to the late, great Roky Erickson called "May the Circle Remain Unbroken."  One of the highlights was Chelsea Wolfe's absolutely haunting take on "If You Have Ghosts."  Check it out below, our Daily Jam.

Converge and Chelsea Wolfe

Converge and Chelsea Wolfe have teamed together for a new album called "Bloodmoon: I," and they've brought along Wolfe collaborator Ben Chisholm and Mutoid Man's Stephen Brodsky for the mayhem.  The sound of abrasive metal paired with haunting, goth-tinged female vocals just works for me in all the right ways (see last year's Thou and Emma Ruth Rundle collab for proof).  Check out the video for "Blood Moon" below and pre-order the album here from Epitaph.  It rules.

Chelsea Wolfe Covers Joni Mitchell

It's always good to wake up to new music from Chelsea Wolfe, the indomitable dark chanteuse.  Here she is covering Joni Mitchell's "Woodstock."  Check the track out below and get it here along with new tune "Green Altar" from Sargent House.

Daily Jam - Memorial

Watching the news as a category 4 hurricane is likely to directly hit one of my favorite cities in the world.  And feeling powerless.  Everyone please be safe.  Here's Russian Circles and Chelsea Wolfe with "Memorial," our Daily Jam.

Divide and Dissolve and Chelsea Wolfe

Earlier this year, Australian female duo Divide and Dissolve released the excellent "Gas Lit" LP, a collection of slow and heavy drone metal about imperialism, colonialism, and the plight of indigenous peoples.  Three of the tracks off the record are getting the remix/rework treatment on the upcoming "Gas Lit 3 Part Remix," one of those tracks being a pretty intense reworking of "Far From Ideal" from Chelsea Wolfe.  The new version is just as cacophonous as its original counterpart, but weightier with Wolfe's haunted vocals.  Check it out below and pre-order the remix EP here.

Xiu Xiu and Chelsea Wolfe Cover The Cure

I posted about the latest from Xiu Xiu a couple months back when "OH NO," a duets album, was announced.  Well, the album's out now, and it's a dark and tangled thing featuring vocals from artists like Grouper's Liz Harris, Liars' Angus Andrew, Sharon Van Etten, Twin Shadow, and more.  A track i was particularly excited to hear is a cover of The Cure's "One Hundred Years" featuring vocals by Chelsea Wolfe which you should most definitely listen to below.  The artists turn the angsty and anguished goth song into an angsty and anguished industrial hybrid of sorts.  It rules.  Check it out and grab the record here from Polyvinyl.

Chelsea Wolfe & Emma Ruth Rundle

It was a nice surprise this morning to wake up to a new song from two of my favorite dark chanteuses, Chelsea Wolfe and Emma Ruth Rundle.  Check out the devastating new single "Anhedonia" below and get it here from Sargent House.

Mrs. Piss

Mrs. Piss is the delightfully named project of Chelsea Wolfe and Jess Gowrie, a grungey, sludgy mess of goth and doom tinged hard rock.  We go pretty hard for Chelsea Wolfe around these parts, and that doesn't look to change anytime soon.  Check out the video for "Knelt" below and pre-order the "Self-Surgery" album here via Sargent House.

Chelsea Wolfe and Friends - Crazy Train

So, this is just cool.  Until today, i was unfamiliar with the YouTube streaming show "Two Minutes to Late Night," a heavy metal themed version of a late night talk show.  I'm now going to have to remedy my unfamiliarity.  It seems that during quarantine, the members of the show have been piecing together episodes filmed from their collective homes, and they've been doing covers.  So far, Weird Al and Steely Dan have been shredded, and today, we get a doomy and scary version of Ozzy Osborne's "Crazy Train."  Chelsea Wolfe, frequent collaborator Ben Chisholm, Liam Wilson (Dillinger Escape Plan), Urian Hackney (Rough Francis), Stephen Brodsky (Mutoid Man), and the show's host Gwarsenio Hall drop the classic tune into a minor key and then proceed to just kill it.  More of this please.  Watch the video below and support the show here.

Daily Jam (October Edition) - You Are My Sunshine

Probably the creepiest version of "You Are My Sunshine" that you'll listen to today, here's the dark and wonderful Chelsea Wolfe's haunting rendition.  Check it out below, our Daily Jam.
