Principleasure

raudiver Remixed

Houston darkwave duo raudiver just a couple of new remixed tracks on the new "Rau-mixes Vol 1: Kontravoid + Jennifer Touch" 7".  Check out Kontravoid's techno mix of "No Sign Rising" below and grab the record here from Geodesic.

Bernardino Femminielli

Here's some new music from Paris based artist Bernardino Femminielli.  "Memoires d'un Auto-Sabotage" is a cool mix of airy electronica and French pop that feels like it's being beamed in from alternate reality version of France.  Check out "Raconte-moi ton Histoire" featuring German duo Neuzeitliche Bodenbelage below and snag a copy of the LP here from Knekelhuis.

The Field

The Field.  Now that's a name i haven't thought about in a long, long time.  The Berlin-based electronic artist crafts dreamy, techno soundscapes for coffee shop mornings and quiet drives at night.  New album "Now You Exist" came out a couple weeks ago on Studio Barnhus.  Get the LP here and listen to the airy and chilled out "In Our Dreams" below.

Curses

Over the last five years, Berlin based artist Luca Venezia, AKA Curses, has been releasing compilations of different music that shaped his life and art, dubbed "Next Wave Acid Punx."  The albums highlight all manner of electro-industrial-techno-madness.  The latest edition, "Trois," is due in June.  Check out the artist's own contribution to the series, "Crown of Ruin (Extended Mix)," below, and get all three volumes here from Eskimo Recordings.

Danalogue

Bristol band SCALER make a dark and cold mix of trip-hop, IDM, alt-rock, and experimental techno that feels akin to the kind of stuff that would have rocked my headphones in the late '90s.  Check out "Mirage" featuring an assist from Art School Girlfriend below and get the "Endlessly" LP here from Black Acre Records.

Dancing Plague

HEALTH

December brings us new music from LA noisemakers HEALTH.  The band's mix of synth pop, techno, noise rock, metal, and more has been a staple around these parts for the better part of two decades now, which feels absolutely insane to me.  Anyway, check out the chugging new track "Ordinary Loss" below and pre-order the upcoming "CONFLICT DLC" LP here from Loma Vista.

Fat Dog

A lot of music dropped over the week while i was away, like "Pray to That," the excellent new track from UK band Fat Dog.  The song takes the band's fusion of post punk, electronica, and Eastern sounds and throws in some sleazy industrial-techno for good measure.  It rules.  Check it out below and download it here from Domino.

Lip Critic

New York band Lip Critic were probably one of the best live acts i saw way back at SXSW 2024, their often chaotic mix of noise rock, techno, rap, and other assorted mayhem absolutely knocking my brain around during their 30-minute set.  They followed that up with the excellent "Hex Dealer" LP, and now they've got a new single out to continue said brain-knocking.  Check out "Mirror Match" below and download it along with B-side "Second Life" here from Partisan Records.

Perturbator

After a lot of teasing and hearsay, French synth wave project Perturbator has announced upcoming new album "Age of Aquarius."  The James Kent project continues to evolve, fusing elements of darkwave synth pop, electronic, industrial, techno, metal, and more into its sonic stew, this time around featuring assists from artists like Author & Punisher and Alcest.  Check out new tune "Apocalypse Now" feauring Ulver below and pre-order the record (out on Nuclear Blast) here.
