Kontravoid

LA darkwave industrial act Kontravoid released new album "Sound of the Void" last week, a collection of gothy synth pop and death rock.  Just the kind of thing to enjoy on an October night.  Check out the propulsive "Without" below and grab the LP here from Artoffact Records.

Actors

Here's some great new, goth-infused darkwave and post punk from Vancouver band Actors.  The vibes on "Our Love Will Live Forever" should carry us through the fall, autumnal tones and longer nights.  Dig on the album opening "CTRL" below and get the LP here from Artoffact Records.

Soft Vein

Dig on some new synth pop from California based artist Soft Vein.  The upcoming "All We've Known of Heaven" LP is out next month on Artoffact Records.  Pre-order it here and listen to "Another Summer" below.

Hallows

Last month, LA darkwave synth pop duo Hallows dropped their new album "Dream," a sleek and moody, yet danceable electro-opus.  Check out "Two Bodies" below and snag a copy of the LP here from Artoffact Records.

Cathedral Bells

It's kind of a gloomy Monday morning here in Central Texas.  Here's some appropriately moody music to go along with it.  LA band Cathedral Bells just dropped their new album "Parallel Dreams" last week.  Grab the LP here from Artoffact Records and dig on the dreamy mix of synth pop and shoegaze that is album opener "Crashing Out."

Dancing Plague

Let's get the gothic dance party started with some electro-darkwave bangers from Portland artist Dancing Plague.  New album "Domain" is out now.  Get it here from Artoffact Records and listen to the pulsing, brooding "With You I Am Nothing" below.

The Discussion

Back to the USA with some good, old-fashioned gothy darkwave from LA artist The Discussion.  Check out the dark and pulsing "Blue Light" below and pre-order the upcoming "All the Pretty Flowers" LP here from Artoffact Records.

Sacred Skin Remixed by HEALTH

Actors

Here's a little darkwave jam from Vancouver's Actors to wallow around in your Sunday to.  Check out "Love U More" below and pre-order the band's upcoming "Acts of Worship" LP here from Artoffact Records.

Leathers

Here's some dreamy and pulsing synth pop from Vancouver's Leathers, emphasis on the pop.  "Reckless" sounds like it could have slid effortlessly into the soundtrack, tone, and vibes of Nicolas Winding Refn's "Drive," and i've been a sucker for that kind of sound for a decade or more now.  Download the "Reckless" EP here from Artoffact Records and listen to the title track below.

Sólveig Matthildur

So far this morning has consisted of playing cars with my 3-year old and listening to a bunch of music i've never heard before online, so...good morning.  Anyway, here's some dreamy darkwave synth pop from Iceland's Sólveig Matthildur taken from her upcoming sophomore solo record "Constantly In Love."  Listen to "Dystopian Boy" below, pre-order here from Artoffact, and check out her band Kælan Mikla here.

GOLD

Hunting around for music this morning while i make breakfast for the boys, and searching for something slightly darker tinged to coincide with the rain and thunder outside, and i come across Dutch band GOLD and their latest album "Why Aren't Your Laughing?," a moody mix of post rock, dreampop, and heavy metal.  It's suiting the atmosphere just fine.  Check out "Things I Wish I Never Knew" below and get the record here from Artoffact Records.

Street Sects

Street Sects are one of those local bands i've been meaning to give a spin for the longest time now, but for whatever reason just constantly keeps getting put on the back burner.  Well, no more!  The duo's latest release, the excellent "Things Will Be Better in Hell" 7" on Artoffact Records is a stomping, blistering industrial punk hybrid, meant to smash heads and contort bodies.  It's awesome.  Listen to the A-side below and cop the record here.
