When UK stoner band Pigs Pigs Pigs Pigs Pigs Pigs Pigs announced their upcoming album "Death Hilarious" a few weeks back, the track that really stood out from the others as something i wanted desperately to hear was the one called "Glib Tongued," as it features New York rapper/producer and Run The Jewels member El-P.  Well, now we can.  Check out the video for it below and pre-order the album here from Rocket Recordings and Missing Piece Records.

Run The Jewels did us all a needed solid yesterday when they went ahead and released "RTJ4" a couple of days early for streaming and download.  I know this stuff was recorded months ago, but damn is it prescient.  Listen to "Walking in the Snow" below, and go download and order the LP here.

Bun B featuring Run The Jewels

Great news everyone!  Longtime Houston rapper, and former UGK member Bun B has a new album out!  And "Return of the Trill" has quite the impressive guest list, including some assists from Big K.R.I.T., Slim Thug, Leon Bridges, and more.  The album is currently streaming in all of the usual places, but go ahead and listen to "Myself" below, which features the ever dependable Run The Jewels.  What a great way to start the holiday weekend.  Happy Friday everyone!

This has actually been out for a few days, but i finally had a sec to sit and watch the new Rick and Morty featuring video for Run the Jewels' "Oh Mama" from "RTJ3."  It's pretty awesome, and as i'm a fan of both RTJ and "Rick and Morty," this is right up my alley.  Watch below.

Run The Jewels feat. Boots - 2100

In response to what happened Tuesday night, Run The Jewels released a new track yesterday.  Probably intended for the upcoming "RTJ3," but given it's ferocity and lack of optimism, the Boots assisted "2100" is what a lot of us still need right now.  Listen below, and then maybe take El-P's lead and donate some money to Planned Parenthood or any other program or service in danger of being gutted in 2017.

Zack de la Rocha - Digging for Windows

There's been talk of a Zack de la Rocha solo album for years now, the former Rage Against the Machine front man recording tracks in sessions with everyone from DJ Shadow to Trent Reznor.  And now it looks like we may actually get one, this one recorded with El-P.  I loved de la Rocha's contribution to Run the Jewels' sophomore effort a couple of years ago, so this is welcome news.  And the track that's out today sounds pretty awesome.  Listen to "Digging for Windows" below, and be on the lookout for an album sometime in 2017.

DJ Shadow and Run the Jewels

It's been a while since we last heard from DJ Shadow, i had all but forgotten about him, but with the impending release of new album "The Mountain Will Fall," and the collaboration with Run the Jewels on first single "Nobody Speak," he seems to be insuring i don't forget again.  "Nobody Speak" is all blaring horns, jazzy beats, and synth blips with El-P and Killer Mike just slaying the verses.  Listen below and get the record in June on Mass Appeal.

Run the Jewels and Zack de la Rocha

Run the Jewels team up with former Rage Against the Machine frontman Zack de la Rocha for new jam "Close your Eyes (and Count to Fuck)" from the upcoming "Run the Jewels 2."  That's right.  Killer Mike, El-P, and Zack de la Rocha are all on a track together.  And it kills.  Take a listen below and get the album later this month from Mass Appeal.

The ridiculously good Run The Jewels, the hip-hop duo comprised of El-P and Killer Mike have a new album on the horizon, the aptly titled "RTJ2" which will be available as a free download as well as other physical formats in October on Mass Appeal.  Listen to the blistering back and forth assault of "Blockbuster Night Part 1" below and get adequately pumped.  This album is going to be a monster.

Paul Banks mixtape

"Everybody on My Dick Like They Supposed to Be."  Indeed.  Paul Banks of Interpol fame just release a hip-hop mixtape today...and it's actually pretty good.  Mr. Banks has the good manners to not rap himself, and the largely instrumental and sample heavy affair is momentarily graced by the likes of El-P, Mike G from Odd Future, and Talib Kweli.  And it's called "Everybody on My Dick Like They Supposed to Be."  Stream below and download for free here.
