Mamuthones

Goat & Graveyard

I have yet to see it on any official Record Store Day list for the US, but evidently Swedish psych rock band Goat and fellow Swedish hard rock band Graveyard have teamed together for a one-off collaborative 7" single on the UK release list from Rocket Recordings.  Here's hoping some of those managed to trickle across the pond before the Trump Tariffs went into effect.  Cross your fingers and look for the "A Ship of Fools / Light as a Feather" 7" on Saturday.  In the meantime, check out the classic psych rock of the B-side "Light as a Feather" below.

When UK stoner band Pigs Pigs Pigs Pigs Pigs Pigs Pigs announced their upcoming album "Death Hilarious" a few weeks back, the track that really stood out from the others as something i wanted desperately to hear was the one called "Glib Tongued," as it features New York rapper/producer and Run The Jewels member El-P.  Well, now we can.  Check out the video for it below and pre-order the album here from Rocket Recordings and Missing Piece Records.

Here's hoping i get to catch UK stoner metal band Pigs Pigs Pigs Pigs Pigs Pigs Pigs next week during SXSW here in Austin.  It's so much harder to get out these days, but i really want to catch a couple shows if able, and some UK stoner metal seems a good way to go.  Anyway, the band just dropped a new album last month, "Land of Sleeper."  Get it here from Rocket Recordings or here from Missing Piece Records, and listen to "Big Rig" below.

The Utopia Strong

Listening to "Shepherdess," the first single from UK band The Utopia Strong's upcoming "International Treasure" LP, feels akin to meditating at the top of a cliff in the Mediterranean somewhere, overlooking the sea, the sounds of the ocean and the wind around you, sun on your face, clouds moving by.  It's a kind of soothing Balearic kosmische psychedelia for expanding minds and purifying bodies.  You new age types are gonna love it.  Check the track out below and pre-order the record here from Rocket Recordings.
