Knot

Rising from the ashes of Boston band Krill, Knot is here with their self-titled debut of alt-rock that feels like some throwback, guitar-oriented slacker opus i would have jammed in my bedroom 25 years ago.  Sometimes angular, sometimes punchy, with jabs of post punk and prog flourishes, it's a get under your skin kind of record.  Check out album opener "Fallow" below and get the record here from Exploding In Sound.

Ovlov

J&L Defer

Disco Doom

Part Dinosaur Jr guitar fuzz, part 70's glam rock grandstanding, the new jam "Ex Teenager" from Swiss band Disco Doom is two minutes of pure sonic bliss, a lo-fi love letter to the masses.  Keep an eye out for the band's upcoming new album on Exploding In Sound, and listen to the jam below.

Ovlov

The 90's have been making their inevitable comeback for a long time now (probably since about 2002), and if the new album from Connecticut band Ovlov is any indication, that's a good thing.  Check out "Where's My Dini?" from the forthcoming album "AM" below.  It makes me think of smoking cigarettes and drinking beer in a friend's backyard, and it features guest vocals from Sadie Dupuis, a member of fellow 90's revivalists Speedy Ortiz.  Grab the album from Exploding in Sound Records and enjoy the slow burn below.
