Daily Jam - Great Day (Four Tet Remix)

I'm tired as hell, but it was a wonderful day.  I took the day off work.  The third grader had his class field day this morning.  And i spent most of the afternoon in downtown Austin watching a slew of SXSW performances.  So let's celebrate with a little Madvillain, or more succinctly, some Four Tet remixed Madvillain.  Listen to "Great Day" below, our Daily Jam.

Madlib and Four Tet's Kieran Hebden have been collaborating back and forth for a couple of years, and the fruits of said collaboration are finally coming out later this month with "Sound Ancestors."  The result is some really groovy and soulful instrumental hip-hop.  Check out "Road of the Lonely Ones" below and pre-order the LP here via Madlib Invazion.

Burial + Thom Yorke + Four Tet

Burial, Thom Yorke, and Four Tet are together again for a couple of new and subdued jams, their first collaboration since 2011.  The two new tunes, "Her Revolution" and "His Rope," dropped as an instore purchase only 12" vinyl in 3 record stores in the UK.  Doesn't really seem like such a good idea during a pandemic to me, but what do i know?  Anyway, the songs are good, and hopefully we'll see an online option in the near future.  Check 'em both out below.

The wonderful progressive electronic act that is Four Tet have a new record, "Beautiful Rewind," on the horizon on the band's own Text Label.  New Four Tet is always a good thing.  While we're waiting, here's new jam "Parallel Jalebi," a smooth and sexy spattering of click beats and sampled and looped female vocals.
