UK goth darkwave metal duo Zetra took songs from their 2024 self-titled album and stripped them down to create cinematic, instrumental pieces of synth wave on new album "Zetra: The Floor Eternal."  It makes for a very cool companion piece to the original LP.  Check out "Suffer Eternally: The Floor Eternal" below and download the whole album here from Nuclear Blast.

Perturbator

After a lot of teasing and hearsay, French synth wave project Perturbator has announced upcoming new album "Age of Aquarius."  The James Kent project continues to evolve, fusing elements of darkwave synth pop, electronic, industrial, techno, metal, and more into its sonic stew, this time around featuring assists from artists like Author & Punisher and Alcest.  Check out new tune "Apocalypse Now" feauring Ulver below and pre-order the record (out on Nuclear Blast) here.

Ghost Bath - Thrones

Hey!  New music from black metal band Ghost Bath!  I wasn't expecting that today.  Anyway, "Starmourner" is due in April on Nuclear Blast.  Listen to first single "Thrones" below.  My friend says that at about a minute in, it sounds like Joe Satriani fronting Dark Funeral...and that he's not yet convinced that that's a bad thing.  I'm inclined to agree.
