Perturbator

After a lot of teasing and hearsay, French synth wave project Perturbator has announced upcoming new album "Age of Aquarius."  The James Kent project continues to evolve, fusing elements of darkwave synth pop, electronic, industrial, techno, metal, and more into its sonic stew, this time around featuring assists from artists like Author & Punisher and Alcest.  Check out new tune "Apocalypse Now" feauring Ulver below and pre-order the record (out on Nuclear Blast) here.

Norwegian experimental band (they do everything from metal to synth pop) Ulver has a new album of unsettling drone out for our listening nightmares, called adequately enough "Drone Activity."  Listen to "Twenty Thousand Leagues Under the Sea" below, an enormous piece of sound that manages to feel like you're being compressed by millions of gallons of water.  Nice.  Now get the download here.

Myrkur, the one-woman black metal project of Ex-Cops' Amalie Brunn, is set to release her "M" LP later this month on Relapse Records, and with a production assist from Ulver's Kristoffer "Garm" Rygg, it's shaping up to be a monster.  Listen to the Norwegian fury and Celtic tones of "Hævnen" below.
