Bobby Gillespie and Jehnny Beth

I somehow missed the announcement earlier this year that Primal Scream's Bobby Gillespie and Savages' Jehnny Beth are making a collaborative album for Jack White's Third Man Records partly inspired by old country duet albums.  Just a poor job on everyone's part keeping me up to date on this kind of thing.  I'm disappointed in all of you.  Anyway, the album, "Utopian Ashes," is due in July.  Check out the video for "Remember We Were Lovers" below and pre-order the record here.

Savages - The Answer

Looks like we've got a new album from post-punk band Savages coming out in January on Matador, which is fantastic news.  Watch the video for album opener "The Answer" below and be on the lookout for "Adore Life" early next year.

Savages - Shut Up video

UK post punk act Savages are set to have a big 2013.  After a well received single and live EP, the band are readying their debut full-length "Silence Yourself" LP for release via Matador in a couple of weeks.  Check out the video for the anxious album opener "Shut Up" below.
