Natalie Bergman
Chicago artist Natalie Bergman makes a wonderful style of indie pop that pulls from singer/songwriter folk, '60s R&B, psych pop, soul, and country. Her new album "My Home Is Not in this World" is out in July. Pre-order the LP here from Third Man Records and watch the video for "Dance" below.

Hotline TNT
In true "Tommy's-getting-old" fashion, the lineup for this year's ACL Fest dropped earlier this week, and the trend of me not knowing who 80-90% of the performers are continued in earnest. How fast things change. Anyhoo, one of the artists i did recognize was Brooklyn's Hotline TNT, an indie rock band i caught at last year's SXSW. The group's new album "Raspberry Moon" is out in June. Get it here from Third Man and listen to "Julia's War" below.

Hotline TNT
Brooklyn band Hotline TNT made a lot of noise in Austin last March during SXSW, and the group just dropped their new album "Cartwheel" on Friday on Third Man Records. It's all sold out on their Bandcamp page, but you can probably find it in better record stores everywhere. In the meanwhile, check out the album opening "Protocol" below.

Olivia Jean
As SXSW draws to a close, i'm going through the artists i saw and the artists i wanted to see but missed out on. One of the latter is Nashville artist Olivia Jean who has a kind of alt-rock rockabilly thing going on. Her new album "Raving Ghost" is out in May on Third Man. Pre-order it here and listen to "Trouble" below.

Natalie Bergman and Beck
Natalie Bergman is one half of the brother/sister duo Wild Belle who released her debut solo album "Mercy" earlier this year, and Beck is...well, Beck. The two just teamed together for a cover of Dutch psych rock band Lion's 1975 track "You've Got a Woman." It's a cool and breezy, laid back jam. Check it out below, and be on the lookout for a 7" from Third Man Records.

Bobby Gillespie and Jehnny Beth
I somehow missed the announcement earlier this year that Primal Scream's Bobby Gillespie and Savages' Jehnny Beth are making a collaborative album for Jack White's Third Man Records partly inspired by old country duet albums. Just a poor job on everyone's part keeping me up to date on this kind of thing. I'm disappointed in all of you. Anyway, the album, "Utopian Ashes," is due in July. Check out the video for "Remember We Were Lovers" below and pre-order the record here.

Luke Schneider
Country music session musician Luke Schneider plays a mean pedal steel, and he puts it to use on his new upcoming album "Altar of Harmony," an experimental, ambient new age record. Listen to "Anteludium" below and pre-order the record here from Third Man.

Daily Jam - I Just Started Hating Some People Today
A few years ago, Beck released a single for the "Blue Series" on Jack White's Third Man Records. The song was a wonderful mix of old country, bar blues, and then some punk and all out weirdness to end it all. It was the best thing he'd done in years and i pine for a whole album of this kind of thing someday. I mean, his pop party and sad bastard records are great and everything, but this mutant country and western hybrid thing is where my heart's at. Anyway, Beck's "I Just Started Hating Some People Today" is our Daily Jam. Check it out and love it below.

Jack White - Connected by Love
Jack White has always been kind of hit or miss with me. I really dig on a couple of the older White Stripes albums, and the man is a vinyl enthusiast's vinyl enthusiast, and even if he's not your bag, you have to admit he's got talent flowing from every pore, but sometimes his brand of blues indebted rock just doesn't do it for me. Sometimes it sounds redundant to me. That being said, new single "Connected by Love," from the upcoming "Boarding House Reach" LP sounds like nothing he's ever done before while totally still sounding like something in his regular repertoire. And it's kind of weird. And i dig it. Synths and organs and blues and gospel and guitar stomp and piano balladry all in one big pot. Check out the video below. And check out the album art above. There's some serious Marc Almond shit going on in that thing. It's cool. The record is out March 23rd on Third Man.

Sun Seeker
Like standing in a sun drenched meadow, cool breeze pressing against your skin, eyes squinted from the brightness, the debut from Nashville band Sun Seeker plays like an old classic crackling on AM radio. It's like sifting through a beat up shoe box of old, faded photos, aging documents of suburban cowboys traversing through Laurel Canyon, a timeless homage to Americana. Listen to "Georgia Dust" below and get the 7" from Third Man Records.

Ennio Morricone - The Hateful Eight
Film music nerds everywhere had their heads explode (mine included) a few months ago when it was announced that the legendary composer Ennio Morricone would be supplying new music for Quentin Tarantino's upcoming western "The Hateful Eight." And now we have our first taste. Listen to "L'Ultima Diligenza di Red Rock" below and pre-order the album from Third Man.

Jack White - High Ball Stepper
Jack White has a new album called "Lazaretto" coming out in June on Third Man. The first taste is "High Ball Stepper," a very Jack White sounding instrumental. Watch the video below.

Kelley Stoltz
The San Francisco psych and garage rock scene has no lack or artists creating new and interesting music everyday. Kelley Stoltz has been making music for a number of years, even playing on tour with Rodriguez lately, but "Double Exposure" is his first on Jack White's Third Man label. Look for the album late next month, but in the meantime, listen to the warm and dreamy, and wonderfully titled "Kim Chee Taco Man" below.

Gibby Haynes
Gibby Haynes of Butthole Surfers fame is the next in a long line of awesome artists to record a 7" for Jack White and Third Man Records' blue series. His outing features White on guitar and a cover of Adrenalin O.D.'s "Paul's Not Home." Look for it next week and listen below.
Bonus: If you're in Austin for SXSW and stumble upon the Third Man Records rolling record store, they will be selling a limited variant of the 7" pressed on old X-rays. Right on.
