Sungod

The bands that throw a bunch of different sounds and ingredients into a bowl to create some sort of sonic casserole are generally some on the ones that i find most intriguing.  Austin's Sungod is an almost devious mix of prog, metal, kraut, synth, psych, and drone.  Their cassette release album "Contackt" is sold out from Holodeck, but just listen to "Gas Is Better than Gas" below.  It is the sound of dropping acid in the modern world, and if it was the aforementioned casserole, it would be delicious.
