I love that there are so many record labels out there (both big and small) who scour the country and the world for a veritable smorgasbord of lost relics and obscure artifacts in the form of forgotten albums...and then reissue them for our listening pleasure.
Paradise of Bachelors just released a gold nugget in The Chance's brilliant 1981 country-funk-psych-folk masterpiece "In Search." Chance Martin started his career working with Johnny Cash as a stage hand before he went on to record this awesome LP. Take a listen to two tracks from the record below, "Mr. Freedom Man" and "Blue Monday." They're both really difficult to categorize, other than just filing them under awesome. Get the album
