LAKE

Washington band LAKE make airy, breezy, dreamy soft rock that feels suited for days by the pool, or in the sun, or dare i say on the yacht.  New album "Bucolic Gone" dropped last week.  Get it here from Don Giovanni Records and listen to the wonderful title track below.

The Homeless Gospel Choir

Pittsburgh band The Homeless Gospel Choir have teamed with Jersey band Teenage Halloween for a split 12" of power pop/punk/underground rock.  The whole thing slaps.  Check out the opening crusty banger "Harrisburg Shoes" below and pre-order the record here from Don Giovanni Records.

Moor Jewelry

Moor Jewelry is the collaborative project of Moor Mother and Metal Jewelry.  New album "True Opera" is a short blast of noise and raw punk rock, and it rips.  Get it here from Don Giovanni Records and listen to "Look Alive" below.

Moor Mother

I kept seeing the name Moor Mother pop up over the last few months and thought to myself that the moniker alone made it sound like something i would want to check out.  I was correct.  Fusing drone, hip-hop, dark ambient tones, and noise, the music of Moor Mother sounds like some dark and mutated thing that oozed its ways out of some heretofore undiscovered netherworld.  Check out the crawling, hissing album opening "Repeater" below and grab the new "Analog Fluids of Sonic Black Holes" LP here from Don Giovanni Records.

Bat Fangs

Any artist who is described as picking up where Roky and The Aliens left off is going to get my attention.  So here's Bat Fangs, a short and rocking burst of banging jams from some shredding females.  Listen to "Rock the Reaper" below and get the self-titled album from Don Giovanni Records.

L7 - Dispatch from Mar-a-Lago

Just when you think the world is done, and that there will never be a sliver of hope on the horizon again, along comes a reunited L7 with their first new song in almost 20 years, a timely punk rock middle finger to the orange monkey in Washington called "Dispatch from Mar-a-Lago."  Hallelujah!  Listen to the track below and get it from Don Giovanni.

Tenement

Here's a wonderful, poppy little rocker from Wisconsin's Tenement from the trio's new record "Predatory Headlights."  "Dull Joy" feels like a callback to the DIY punk of the 90's.  Listen below and grab the record from Don Giovanni.
