I first heard Swedish indie folk pop artist Jose Gonzalez almost 20 years ago with his stripped down acoustic take on The Knife's "Heartbeats."  Occasionally he also releases music with the band Junip.  Here's a track from their 2005 "Black Refuge" EP.  Listen to the brooding and practically oozing "Official" below, our Daily Jam.

Daily Jam - The Ghost of Tom Joad

Bruce Springstein is an amazing songwriter, and i'm pretty sure a track or two of his will end up on this series before long, but i've always been more drawn to Junip's cover of "The Ghost of Tom Joad" than the original.  It just seems to hit me harder, that mournful organ underlying everything.  Anyway, it's our Daily Jam today.
