MJ Guider
New Orleans based artist MJ Guider crafts experimental sound collages utilizing tape loops, field recordings, and samples paired with elements of dreampop, shoegaze, ambient, and drone. It all makes for a murky yet transcendent listen. Check out new tune "To the Hour" below and download it here from Across The Horizon.

MF Guider
New Orleans experimental artist MJ Guider just released a new album, the moody and haunting drone of "Temporary Requiem." The pieces were written and recorded a couple of years back during the same sessions that gave us the artist's great 2020 album "Sour Cherry Bell." Check out the sprawling, ambient, Pagan sounds of "Benedictus: Tribute to Leviathan, Her Ancestors, and Her Progeny" below and download the album here (the limited cassette is sold out).

MJ Guider
Experimental New Orleans artist MJ Guider just dropped her new "Matanzas" 7". The two new tracks feature the artist's blend of ethereal darkwave and shoegaze-tinged drone and reflect on her mother's native Cuba. Moody and oozing stuff to be sure. Check out both "Matanzas and "Viñales" below and download them here (the lathe cut 7" is long gone).

Here's some noisy, swampy post punk from New Orleans artist MJ Guider. "Quiet Time" oozes sound and reverb, shades of shoegaze and darkwave synth pop that flow together in a thick soup. You can practically feel the humidity. Check it out below and get the "Sour Cherry Bell" LP here from kranky.
