Russian Baths

Moody New York alt-rock duo Russian Baths just announced a new album coming our way in June.  I was fortunate enough to catch them live five years ago and their combination of noise and dreaminess just hits the spot.  Check out new tune "Split" below and pre-order the "Mirror" LP here from Good Eye Records.

Russian Baths

Got a couple of new tunes from Brooklyn duo Russian Baths this morning.  Kinda dreamy.  Kinda melancholy.  Kinda moody.  Check out "Done and Dead" below and get it and "Rise Again" here from Good Eye Records.

Russian Baths

Yesterday was a Bandcamp day, as the site has been doing pretty much monthly since the pandemic began, forfeiting their revenue share for the day.  And as per usual, i bought a bunch of stuff.  One was a new version of "Responder" from Brooklyn post punk duo Russian Baths.  It's dark and brooding.  Check out "Responder (Night)" below and download it here from Good Eye Records.

Russian Baths

After a couple of excellent EPs and singles, Brooklyn band Russian Baths, who were one of my favorite performers from this year's SXSW, have a full-length album heading our way in November.  Check out the crunchy, noisy title track from the upcoming "Tracks" LP below and be on the lookout for it this Fall on Good Eye Records.

Russian Baths - Parasite

I just realized that Brooklyn post punk band Russian Baths released a new single back on March 15th, coincidentally the same day i caught them perform during SXSW.  Anyway, "Parasite" is noisy, crunchy little piece of sound, and you should listen to it below.  Then grab it here from the band.

SXSW 2019 Day 5 Pics

Today started off with some bullshit revolving around a child's car seat and my inability to remove it from a car.  It kind of dampened my spirits for much of the day (along with all of the horrible, heartbreaking news coming out of New Zealand), but i still got to see some great music today, this time jumping around from Hotel Vegas to Kitty Cohen's to Waterloo Records.  I could have wandered all over for the rest of the day, but my feet were tired...because i'm old.  Here's some pics...

Russian Baths

There are a few names i keep coming across over and over again while looking over these SXSW parties and showcases, and one of those is Brooklyn band Russian Baths.  They are everywhere.  And that's great since it ups the chances i'll be able to see them.  The duo make gothic and angular noise rock, aggressive and heavy post punk to wear black to.  Watch the band's video for "Slenderman" below and get their "Penance" EP here from Good Eye Records.
