DEHD

I caught Chicago trio DEHD pretty much by accident several years ago at a day party at SXSW, and ever since, they seem to be one of those bands that gets just a little bit tighter with every release, a little bit fuller, more complete.  New album "Poetry" drops in May.  Check out first single "Mood Ring" below and pre-order the LP here from Fat Possum.

DEHD

Chicago band DEHD are one of those bands i caught on a bill at SXSW some year who seem to have done alright for themselves ever since.  Churning out their particular brand of lo-fi pop and alt-rock, the band's latest album, "Blue Skies," is out in May.  Order it here from Fat Possum and listen to "Bad Love" below.

SXSW 2019 Day 5 Pics

Today started off with some bullshit revolving around a child's car seat and my inability to remove it from a car.  It kind of dampened my spirits for much of the day (along with all of the horrible, heartbreaking news coming out of New Zealand), but i still got to see some great music today, this time jumping around from Hotel Vegas to Kitty Cohen's to Waterloo Records.  I could have wandered all over for the rest of the day, but my feet were tired...because i'm old.  Here's some pics...

DEHD

Still up on my SXSW prep bullshit, one of the names i've come across a lot, and who appear to be playing somewhere in the neighborhood of a thousand times is Chicago lo-fi pop band DEHD.  Listen to the hissing, hooky jangle of "Lucky" below, pre-order May's "Water" LP here from Fire Talk, and catch them in Austin next week.
