Daily Jam - Recent Bedroom

A lot of the stuff that came out 15-20 years ago during the big indie boom of the '00s has kind of faded away into obscurity, but there is certainly some stuff that stands the test of time, like Deerhunter front man Brandford Cox's solo project Atlas Sound.  Dig on the dreamy, kind of shoegazey, kind of lo-fi hum of "Recent Bedroom" below, our Daily Jam.

Daily Jam (Covers Week) - I'll Be Your Mirror

A little over a decade ago, dreamy/shoegazey indie pop band Atlas Sound released a couple of 7" records housed in sewn sacks, one of which contains a wonderful, home-recorded version of The Velvet Underground's "I'll Be Your Mirror."  I have these records, and back in 2009 when we first got my dog Sydney, she tried to eat them.  Fortunately they survived.  Listen to the song below, our Daily Jam.

Cate Le Bon & Bradford Cox

The annual Marfa Myths music and art festival in Marfa, Texas is something i have not had the benefit of attending yet (much to my dismay), but at least i get to hear some of the fruits of labor every year when Mexican Summer releases the previous fest's collaborative residency.  These are generally pretty awesome, and last year's featured Cate Le Bon and Deerhunter front man Bradford Cox.  Check out "Secretary" from the duo below and get the "Myths 004" record in November.
