A Place to Bury Strangers

I'm pretty busy today with a lot of work going on after taking a 4-day weekend last week, but at least i can listen to some new music from New York noisemakers A Place to Bury Strangers.  New album "Synthesizer" is out in October.  Check out new tune "Disgust" below and pre-order the record here from Dedstrange.

GIFT

New York band GIFT make a kind of swirling, kaleidoscopic blend of psychedelia and alt-rock.  Debut album "Momentary Presence" is out now and can be downloaded here from DedStrange.  Pre-order the vinyl here, dropping sometime in January, and watch the video for the dreamy and floaty "Feather" below.

Wah Together

I came across another supergroup today, this time around consisting of a bunch of artists from the '00s New York scene.  Enter Wah Together.  The band includes members or LCD Soundsystem, The Rapture, and Longwave, and their sound is a kind of noisy and catchy brand of post punk.  Check out "Closer We Get" below, download the "Let's Wah Together" LP here from DedStrange, and order the vinyl here.

A Place to Bury Strangers

Noisy Brooklyn band A Place to Bury Strangers has been going at it for a long time now, the quest to make ears bleed a never ending one.  And that quest continues with the upcoming new album "See Through You," out early next year.  Check out the subdued and reverbed (and noisy) "Let's See Each Other" below and pre-order the album here from DedStrange and here for vinyl.

Jealous

Messy Berlin punk band Jealous just released their 2 EP collection "Lover/What's Your Damage?" for our yearning ears.  The whole thing is a noisy, raucous, kinda glammy affair, like smeared lipstick on a bathroom mirror in a dingy punk rock club.  Check out "Debbie Downer" below and download the whole thing here from DedStrange (the vinyl is already sold out).

A Place to Bury Strangers

New tunes coming our way in July from Brooklyn noisy shoegaze band A Place To Bury Strangers.  Check out "End of the Night" below and pre-order the "Hologram" EP here from the band's own label DedStrange.
