Marina Zispin

It feels like it's time for a little ethereal synth pop this morning, and UK duo Marina Zispin have got the goods.  The band released their debut EP, "Life and Death: The Five Chandeliers of the Funereal Exorcisms," back in September.  Get it here from Night School Records and listen to the floating electro-cathedral sounds of "Hymn" below.

J McFarlane's Reality Guest

Here's some quirky, experimental pop from J McFarlane's Reality Guest, the solo project of Twerps member J McFarlane.  "Your Torturer" is a weird and lo-fi mix of psych jazz, bedroom pop, and more, a kind of idiosyncratic piece of art pop.  Watch the video below and get the "Ta Da" record here from Night School.

It looks like we've got new music from the wonderful lo-fi synth pop artist Molly Nilsson headed our way in October.  It seems like we just got a new record from her, but i'm not complaining.  I get older and older and time moves faster and faster.  Anyway, check out the video for "Serious Flowers" below and be on the lookout for the upcoming "2020" LP soon from Dark Skies/Night School.

Patience - White of an Eye

"White of an Eye," the latest from synth pop artist Patience, sounds a bit like every single sound from the 80's all smooshed together into bubbly pop nugget.  And that's not a criticism by any means as the song is just infectious.  Watch the video below and pre-order the 7" here from Night School.

Patience - The Church

Patience is the synth pop project of former Veronica Falls front woman Roxanne Clifford, and the first sample, the upcoming "The Church" 7", is a gorgeous, 80's nostalgia fest, full of the kind of wistful atmospherics you'd expect from a John Hughes soundtrack.  Check out the retro-VHS video for the A-side below and grab the record from Night School.
