Black Moth Super Rainbow
Got a wonderful surprise yesterday with the announcement of the new upcoming Black Moth Super Rainbow album "Soft New Magic Dream." The record is out this summer. Pre-order it here from Rad Cult and listen to the gooey, synthy psychedelic pop of "All 2 of Us" below.

Tobacco
Pittsburgh's residential lo-fi synth maestro Tobacco is back again with a new sequel to his debut full-length, "Fucked Up Friends 3." Check it out for the warped beats and melting synthesizers. Listen to "For the Queen" below and order it here from Rad Cult.
For some reason, this post (along with several others) from back in March was deleted in err by Blogger. They have reinstated it, but i'm having to repost it.

The Stargazer Lilies
I am always here for new music from Philly shoegaze band The Stargazer Lilies. Here's an outtake from last year's excellent, Tobacco produced "Occabot" LP. Check out "Sleeping Mask" below and get it here from Rad Cult.

The Stargazer Lilies
In a pairing i was not expecting to see today, the lovely Pennsylvania shoegaze act The Stargazer Lilies are teaming up with Black Moth Super Rainbow's Tobacco behind the boards for their upcoming new record "Occabot." And going from the first taste, the creeping, oozing, reverbed "Living Work of Art," both artists seem to be represented accordingly. It sounds like somebody left a shogaze LP out in the sun for too long. Check it out below and pre-order the record here via Rad Cult.

High Tides
High Tides is the duo of Warren Kroll and Steven Lutes, and they craft hazy, neon-tinged pulses of synth wave goodness, the kind of thing that wouldn't be out of place on an early Michael Mann film. Check out "Swaying Palms" below, and pre-order the "Paradise Daze" LP here from the always excellent Rad Cult.

Tobacco - Hungry Eyes
Black Moth Super Rainbow member Tobacco has been making his particular brand of mutant synth psych pop for several years now, and has now released a cover of the 1987 Eric Carmen hit "Hungry Eyes." You know it. That song from "Dirty Dancing." As odd a cover choice it may be, it's pretty good, and strangely faithful to the original. Watch the video below, though maybe it's NSFW. I can't really tell. It looks like scrambled, warped footage from Pokemon porn. Hooray?

Black Moth Super Rainbow
New music from Pittsburgh's Black Moth Super Rainbow is always most welcome news, their particular brand of bubblegum-infused, psych-fueled, analog synthesizer electronic pop being just the thing i need to soothe my ravaged soul. New album "Panic Blooms" is due in May on Rad Cult which you can pre-order here, but you can listen to album closer "Mr No One" below right now. Do it!
