A whole lot of stuff popped up on Bandcamp yesterday, artists and labels taking advantage of the site's latest turn foregoing its revenue share.  So much stuff.  More than i could keep up with and still get work done, take care of kids, and make time for Joe Bob Briggs.  Anyway, one of the releases was a pair of tracks from Ty Segall and Wand's Cory Hanson originally recorded 5 years ago, but just now seeing the light of day.  Check out "She's a Beam" below and get it here from Drag City.

Maybe someday i'll have the kind of energy and gusto that Ty Segall has, as the artist is set to release his 5th (or 6th if you count that "Orange Rainbow" cassette) this year.  New project The C.I.A. features Segall's wife Denee on vocals and is a little scorcher of a garage rock record.  Watch the maybe, kinda-sorta NSFW video for "Pleasure Seeker" below and be on the lookout for the self-titled album sometime in December on In The Red.

Good news everybody!  Looks like we've got a sophomore album from G0GGS, the punk rock group featuring members of Ex-Cult, Fuzz, and Ty Segall (who's already had a pretty busy year) headed our way in September.  Listen to "Pre Strike Sweep" below and get the album of the same name from In The Red next month.

It's been a few year since Ty Segall and White Fence's Tim Presley made a record together, but seeing as they've both released stellar albums already this year (Segall's defining fuzz opus "Freedom's Goblin," and "Hippo Lite," the new album from Presley's collaborative project with Cate Le Bon called Drinks), the timing seems right.  New album "Joy" picks up where 2012's "Hair" left off, a cocksure swaggering statement of psych-tinged garage rock jams.  Listen to "Good Boy" below and get the record here from Drag City in July.
