Continuing my ambient, neo-classical mood this afternoon with some beautiful new music from harpist Mary Lattimore and vocalist Julianna Barwick.  The duo's new album "Tragic Magic" dropped yesterday.  Listen to the dreamy and tranquil, album closing "Melted Moon" below and order the LP here from InFine.

Léonie Pernet

French artist Léonie Pernet released somber new track "Réparer le Monde" a week ago.  The title translates to "Repair the World," which is something i think we can all agree would be good.  Give it a listen below and download it here from InFine.

Léonie Pernet Remixed

Léonie Pernet's "Le Cirque de Consolation" was one of my favorite releases of 2021, and now some tracks from the record are getting the remix treatment on the upcoming "Le Club de Consolation" next month.  Check out the bumping Para One remix of "Les Chants de Maldoror" below and download the EP here from InFine.

O'o Remixed by Holy Other

I was just thinking that i hadn't heard from or thought about electronic artist Holy Other until i remembered he actually put out a new album in 2021.  Anyway, it still feels like it's been a spell, but here he is now with a remix of a track from Barcelona electronic pop duo O'o.  Check out Holy Other's mix of "Indigo" below, and get it and the original here from InFine.

Léonie Pernet

Some days, taking a deep dive into Bandcamp turns up wonderful dividends.  Today, i came across the cinematic, electronic French pop stylings of Léonie Pernet.  Dark, synthy melodies mesh with elements of African music and occasional flourishes of neo-classical strings.  I was over halfway through the mostly French language album before even realizing it.  Check out the alt-rock tinged, album opening "Mon amour tu bois trop" below and get the "Le Cirque de Consolation" LP here from InFine.

Z

French electronic composer Z, aka Bernard Szajner, channels his inner Frank Herbert for his latest album "Visions of Dune."  The whole record feels like mood music for a reading of the novels, or like pieces of drone and electronica that could have filled the inner creases of Jodorowsky's film that never came to fruition.  Listen to slowly uncurling "Spice" below and grab the record from Infine.
